Attention Poets!
For 2019, every Friday in March, the Motown Museum has a spoken word contest called "Motown Mic". Poets compete for the highest points and are judged by 4 judges. 8:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m.
Winners advanced to the Grand Finale for a grand prize of $1000.00 and publication on a broadside by Detroit's Broadside Lotus Press! The contest is in its sixth year and I have been happy to serve as one of the judges!
The Motown Museum is located on West Grand Boulevard in Detroit. The site is east of Rosa Parks Boulevard and west of Woodward and the John C. Lodge Expressway (M-10).
